Exterior work is nearing completion as the picture reveals, and work is getting well under way on expensive interior finishing. President Corry points out that the stake has raised and spent approximately $70,000 on the chapel to date. Another $10,000 is needed in the very near future if construction is to proceed without interruption, and committee workers have been busy on a campaign to raise the amount. It is understood that a considerable portion of the amount has been raised and efforts are continuing to raise the balance needed at this time. President Corry and his committee yorkers announce that stake members have cooperateiFgenerously on the project, and they are hopeful that the cooperation will continue until the building is completed. It is expected that the stake will have to raise a total of $100,000 before the building is completed, together with additional addi-tional funds to furnish the chapel after it is completed. The church matches all funds raised by the stake. I |
