Show Redmen Squelch Kanab with Decisive Score Cedar City High School Red-men Red-men basketball team came to life Friday evening, much to the dismay of the Kanab Cowboys, at Kanab, by trouncing the home town boys by a score of 66 to 42 In Dixie Division play. Coach Ray Englestead cleared clear-ed his bench early In the game and a number of his regulars sat out most of the game. The Redmen doubled the Cowboys Cow-boys in the first quarter, 10 to 5, and stretched the lead to 30 to 15 at half time. They held a 50 to 26 third quarter lead, and went on to score the 66 to 42 victory. High Score Man Leading all scorers for the even-ning even-ning was Jerry Frairv;, who dunked dunk-ed 11 field goals, tried only two fouls and ended up with a total of 23 points. Otis McCall, who has been out with a leg Injury for a number of weeks was called on to start at Kanab and seemed to work very well on the bankboards. Terry Rosenberg, a Junior, went on a fourth quarter scoring spree. Within five minutes Rosenberg had scored four field goals and made two shots from the free-throw free-throw line for a total of 10 points and second high for the Redmen for the evening. Other games In the Dixie Division Div-ision play saw Dixie entertain Orderville at St. George and score a substantial win to maintain their perfect record. Enterprise, however, figured most prominently promin-ently in the division race as they tipped a favored Hurricane team by four points, 31 to 47, at Enterprise Enter-prise to stay in the exclusive perfect per-fect record bracket with Dixie. Both have two wins and no losses. Not denying Hurricane's Prince of his 23 point efforts at Enterprise Enter-prise Friday the fact that three of Enterprise's team scored in the double digit bracket makes them a potential threat In the league this year.
