Show Civic Groups Pledge Support Of Local Dimes Drive Efforts on the part of civic clubs of Cedar City as well as the March of Dimes committee ,to promote fund raising activities activi-ties have been announced this week by Walter Lowe, city chairman. chair-man. The Marching Mothers, who met for an Instruction meeting Saturday at Hotel El Escalante, will go forth on Monday, Jan. 24 i as the main drive for funds is in- I itlated. In addition to the March of Mothers, the Cedar City Jaycees and the local Klwanis Club have announced plans for raising the sorely needed money. 1 The Kiwanis Club at its Mon- day night meeting voted to support sup-port the project by establishing a toll charge, for motorists at various spots of the city. Detailed plans have not yet been announced an-nounced but the project will be carried out sometime during the i month. ; The Jaycees have scheduled a Polio Fund Dance to be held at ( the College of Southern Utah ballroom on Saturday, Feb. 5. |
