Show Isom, Leigh Seeking Commander Post 01 American Legion Ballots for the election of officers offi-cers of the Cedar Post of the American Legion were mailed this week with a request that they be marked $nd returned to the secretary not later than Saturday, Sat-urday, May 23. Named as candidates for the position of post commander to succeed Conway Parry In that position are Orville Isom, local attorney, and Wm. S. (Dub) Leigh, local furniture dealer. Other officers nominated ate listed as follows: For first vice commander, El-don El-don Yergensen and Milton Sevy; second vice president, Hamblin Leigh and Gary Macfarlane; adjutant, ad-jutant, Eldon Ashdown and Milton Milt-on Jolley; chaplain, Nathan By-ers By-ers and George Grimshaw. For members of the executive committee with three to be elect ed: James Hoyle, Burns Sherratt, Ross Woolsey, Orwin Green, Iceland Ice-land D. Heywood, Hyrum Perry; sergeant-at-arms, Arthur Dustln, (unopposed), finance officer, Dee Cowan and Francis Betenson. The results of the election will be tabulated in time for the newly new-ly elected officers to attend the State convention in St. George early in June as delegates from the local post. |
