Show CLUB NOTES Mrs. Ralph Box Mrs. Fallas Olofson was hostess host-ess Wednesday at her home to the members of her club for luncheon and bridge. Special guests were Mrs. Boyd Paulsen, Mrs. Francis Betenson and Mrs. Corry Olson, Score prizes were won by Mrs. ham Gentry, Mrs. Paulson and Mrs. Jack Pace. Cedar Chapter No. 20, Order of Eastern Star will hold a covered dish dinner Monday at 6:30 p. m. at the Masonic temple. Following Fol-lowing the dinner a bingo par;y with white elephant gifts will be enjoyed. Mrs. Carl Hazel was hostess Thursday afternoon to the members mem-bers of her canasta club. Special Spe-cial guests included Mrs. Edward Miller, Mrs. Criss Mason, Sr., and Mrs. Carl Boyns. Mrs. Dee Cowan entertained at bridge at her home Wednesday evening. Score prizes were won by Mrs. Stephenson, Mrs. Higbee, Mrs. Betenson and Mrs. Cowan. Members of the Thursday club were the guests of Mrs. V. J. Clove for bridge this week. Special Spe-cial guests were Mrs. Corry Ol son, jvuss nary ieone Halght, and Mrs. A. J. Fiala. Score prizes were won by Mrs. Olson, Mrs. Carl Croft and Mrs. Fiala. Mrs. Garn Hirschi was hostess Wednesday evening at her home to a group of friends for an evening eve-ning of pinochle. Luncheon was served to Mrs. K. Stout, Mrs. Miles Waters, Mrs. Melvin Baldwin, Bald-win, Mrs. Chester Cripps, Mrs. LaVar Hirschi, Mrs. Keith Cripps, Mrs. Bud Chamberlain, Mrs. Carlos Car-los Black, and Mrs. Jack Thuet. Prizes were recejved by Mrs. Cripps, Mrs. Waters and Mrs. Stout. The regular meeting of the M. B. W. club was held Friday afternoon af-ternoon at the home of Mrs. Mel Ence with honors presented to the outgoing officers. Luncheon was served to Mrs. Maeser Dal-ley, Dal-ley, Mrs. Herbert Milne, Mrs. Haldow Christensen, Mrs. Wallace Wal-lace Flanigan, Mrs. Elias Leigh, Mrs. Darwin Nelson, Mrs. Hyrum Perry, Mrs. M. D. Arns, Mrs. King Stevenson, Mrs. Mack Naegle and Mrs. Arthur Nelson. The afternoon after-noon was spent playing canasta. Members of the Tuesday club were guests of Mrs. Arthur Burn-ham Burn-ham at her home for luncheon and bridge. Mrs. Criss Mason, Jr., Mrs. Paul Stewart and Mrs. L. R. McConnell received score awards. The regular meeting and social of the Cedar City Rhine club was held Monday evening at the Casa LaFrentz rumpus room with President Fred LaFrentz presiding. presid-ing. Mrs. Norman Heaton entertained enter-tained the members of the Club Tyro Wednesday evening at El Escalante hotel. Special guests were Mrs. Adrian Bunting and Mrs. Lee Empey. Eleven members of the Duplicate Dupli-cate club were the guests of Mrs. L. V. Broadbent Monday evening at her home at a luncheon followed fol-lowed with bridge. Mrs. Boyd Paulson was a special guest of the club. Ami Fidel club ladies met Friday Fri-day afternoon at the home of Mrs. Ellen Simkins for their regular reg-ular meeting. Mrs. Ardella Ford reviewed the book "The Family Life of Lincoln". Luncheon was served to 11 members and one guest, Mrs. Heber Holyoak. Mrs. La Veil Chamberlain received re-ceived the ladies of her club Tuesday evening at her home for luncheon and social with the time spent sewing. |
