Show Water Association Elects Bulloch; Selects 1953 Projects Members of the Iron County Water Users Association meeting in Cedar City on Thursday, Dec. 4, elected new officers for the year, and selected water projects in the county to place in first priority during the coming year. Warren Bulloch, Cedar City, was named president of the association, as-sociation, with Dee Robinson, Parowan, named first vice presi-dent, presi-dent, and Grant Hunter, Cedar City, second vice president. Stephen Ste-phen L. Brower, Iron County agricultural ag-ricultural agent, was named secretary sec-retary and treasurer. New directors direc-tors named, were Gordon Moyle, Beryl, and Richard Jones, Newcastle. New-castle. Holdover board members include in-clude E. Ray Lyman, Parowan; Moroni Perry and L. M. Jones, Cedar City; Elmer Davis, Kanar-raville, Kanar-raville, and Frank Williamson. Paragonah. One of the projects given priority pri-ority at the meeting, was the development of a reservoir at Newcastle that would store 4,000 acre feet of water. Another was for a well drilling project at Paragonah, with a reservoir to be built in the valley to Increase the storage capacity to 2,000 acn feet The fourth was an irrigation irriga-tion project at Kanarraville. Recommendations will be made to the Utah Water and Power board that assistance be given from the Utah revolving fund set up to help finance wa-ter wa-ter development projects |
