Show Club Notes Mrs. Ralph Box Mrs. Wayne Jackson was hostess host-ess Thursday evening to the members of her club for a bridge luncheon at her home. Mrs. Dan Gillies was a special guest. Bridge score prizes were awarded award-ed to Mrs. Gillies, Mrs. Wirth Wood, Mrs. R. C. Morris and Mrs. York Jones. Monday evening Mrs. G. D. MacDonald entertained the members mem-bers of her club at a luncheon followed by bridge. Special guests included Mrs. Carlos Tay-1 Tay-1 lor, Mrs. Boyd Paulson and Mrs. Fallas Olofson. Score prizes were won by Mrs. Conway Parry, Mrs. H. II. Leigh and Mrs. Paulson. Mrs. Jack Strate entertained Mrs. William Kennedy, Mrs. Glen White, Mrs. Norman Heaton, Mrs. Harold Wycoff and Mrs. Ralph Box at bridge Wednesday evening. eve-ning. High score was won by Mrs. Kennedy. Members of the Wednesday bridge club met for the opening of the holiday season at a dinner din-ner party at the Silver Leaf cafe. Places were set for Mrs. J. L. Fakler, Mrs. S. W. Heyborne, Mrs. Jack Pace, Mrs. Vernon Cum-mings Cum-mings Mrs. Sam Gentry, Mrs. Devon De-von Green, Mrs. Burns Sherratt, Mrs. Antone Cox, Mrs. Lawrence Lowder, Mrs. Fallas Olofson, Mrs. Hugh Cheever, Mrs. Chauncey Macfarlane and Mrs. Clyde Hig-bee. Hig-bee. The evening was spent at bridge. Mrs. Susie Taylor was hostess Friday evening to the ladies of Ami Fidel. Mrs. F. A. Esplin ably reviewed one of the books by Martha Martin. Refreshments were served to 11 members of the club. The Twinkler's club will meet Monday, Dec. 15, at the home of Mrs. Ralph Box. Ladies of the Eastern Star are cordially invited invit-ed to attend. Christmas gifts will be exchanged. Mrs. Dick Dotson entertained Thursday evening at a luncheon and social at her home. Ladies present were Mrs. Miles Waters, Mrs. Gordon Wood, Mrs. Melvin Baldwin, Mrs. Chester Cripps, Mrs. LaVar Hirschi, Mrs. Gam Hirschi, Mrs. Keith Cripps, Mrs. Bud Chamberlain, Mrs. Marion Leany and Mrs. Reed Gowcr. A birthday remembrance was presented pre-sented Mrs. Waters. Mrs. Carl Hazel was hostess Tuesday to the members of her club at a luncheon-followed by an afternoon of canasta. Mrs. Zealand Murtlock set the scene Tuesday evening at her home for the Christmas party of her club. Gifts were exchanged by Mrs. Hugh CheevcT, Mrs. Carl Hazel, Mrs. Paul Stewart, Mrs. Criss Mason, Mrs. Arnold Arrow-smith, Arrow-smith, Mrs. L. R. McConnell and Mrs. Thel Smith. Bridge was played with the high score prize won by Mrs. McConnell. Members of the M. B. W. club were the guests of Mrs. Mack Naegle Friday afternoon at her home. Luncheon was rved tr Mrs. Darwin Nelson, Mrs. Flias Leigh, Mrs. Arthur Nelson, Mrs. Wallace Flanigan. Mrs. King Stevenson Ste-venson and Mrs. Hyrum Terry. A humorous reading was given by Mrs. Flanlgan. Plans were discussed dis-cussed for the club Christmas party. |
