Show Annual Xmas Party Held by Lady Lions; 100 Attend One of the outstanding social events of the holiday social calendar cal-endar was given during the past week when the Lady Lions held their annual Christmas party. The affair was held in the Institute Insti-tute of Religion and featured yuletide motives throughout. Approximately 100 lady lions and their guests attended the party. A program featured members mem-bers of the Lady Lions and their children. Participating on the program was an accordion trio, Boyd Dover, Karl Bradshaw and Eric Gardner, under the direction of Mrs. Kent Dover; a dance number by Gardner Dalley, Sheldon Shel-don Sargent, Allen Roberts, Jerry Jer-ry Farnsworth and Niel Fetty, which was under the direction of Velma Williams; a baton routine rou-tine by Jo Ann and Jeneen Beas-ley; Beas-ley; vocal trio numbers by Gladys Isom, Naida Gardner and Luana Riddle, with Mary Jane Seaman, accompanist, and readings read-ings by Mrs. E. W. Southwick. Each of the ladles was presented present-ed with a miniature powderpuff Santa, which was a replica of a large Santa placed on the mirror above the fireplace at the Institute. Insti-tute. Refrshments carried out the holiday motif. Gifts were placed around a huge Christmas tree, as guests arrived and were distributed distrib-uted at the end of the party. Mrs. Thomas Thorsen was chairman of the affair. She was assisted by Mrs. C. J. Beasley, Mrs. P. M. Bethers, Mrs. Scott Day, Mrs. E. II. Hearrel, Mrs Lor-an Lor-an Hirschi, Mrs. Furl Porter, Mrs. DeLoy Porter, Mrs. D. Ned Sargent, Sar-gent, Mrs. Bert Smith and Mrs. John E. Warren. |
