Show Jaycees Make Plans For City Basketball League Arrangements are tentatively being made by the Cedar City Junior Chamber of Commerce sports and recreation committee to obtain the fieldhouse for its city brskrtbaU league this year. Although complete negotiations negotia-tions have not yet been completed complet-ed the Branch Agricultural college col-lege has been contacted and only rental fees and time arrangements ar-rangements have not yet been worked out according to Tom Brockmier, head of the committee commit-tee Practice sessions will not be arranged until after the first of the year according to Mr. Brockmier, Brock-mier, but teams planning to enter en-ter the league are asked to contact con-tact the committee so that a league schedule can be arranged. In years past the league games have been played in the old BAC gymnasium but due to rcnova-ion rcnova-ion by the AFROTC at the school that gymnasium is not available this year. Working on the committee with Mr. Brockmier are Garn Hir-schi, Hir-schi, board advisor; Blaine Bet-enson, Bet-enson, John C. Brown and Joseph Bud Halterman. The league play is scheduled to start early in January so that a complete schedule can be outlined out-lined during the season. |
