Show Parent-Teachers Hear Panel Discussion On "Youth Guidance" At a meeting of the Parowan high school Parent-Teachers Association As-sociation Wednesday night in the high school auditorium, a panel discussion was held with "Youth Guidance" as the topic treated. The panel consisted of Max Dalley of the high school faculty facul-ty and tho following students: the Misses Ida Talbot and Shirley Shir-ley Smith and Kendall Lister and Edward Dalton. The discussion dealt with the opinions the students have built up regarding their parents and teachers, with the students telling tell-ing of the things they liked which their parents and teachers did for them, as well as some of the things they didn't like. Mrs. Mae Simkins explained the raise in the P-TA membership member-ship fee for this year, and Mrs. Alice Barton, county health nurse discussed the recent outbreak of scarlet fever in the area, and explained ex-plained precautions that parents should take if the disease continues con-tinues to spread. Musical numbers on the program pro-gram were by a girls' double trio from the high school under the direction of Wilford Young, and Mrs. Arvilla Halterman took charge of the meeting. |
