Show Adult Education Committee Phns Winter Courses Plans are being formulated by the Cedar City Adult Education committee for a winter schedule of classes, according to C. B. Coo-ley, Coo-ley, committee chairman. A survey sur-vey is now being conducted to determine what classes adults of the community would be interested inter-ested in. As soon as it is determined what classes will attract a suf-' suf-' ficient number to make them feasible, a schedule will be drawn up giving time, place and instructor for each class, will be released, Mr. Cooley said. Vocational classes open to people peo-ple of the city Include new methods meth-ods of sewing, general sewing, tailoring, upholstery, home decoration, dec-oration, draperies and slip cov-1 ers, landscaping your home, home planning and how, fix-it class, furniture refinishing. Sub-lects Sub-lects open in general education fields include, our responsibilities responsibili-ties as parents, understanding the adolescent, current affairs, world religions, literature for the family bookshelf. No charge will be made for any of the above classes. Classes in arts, crafts, and languages, lan-guages, will be offered with a fee of $5 charged for eaeh course. This group includes knitting, leathercraft and plastics, oil painting, water colors, square dancing, how to speak French, German, Spanish. Registration for the winter classes will take place at the Cedar City high school library cn Wednesday, Jan. 7. |
