Show Deer Hunting Fever Grows As Opening Of Season Approaches With the 1947 fishing seasoD ending end-ing on October 17, and the deer hunting season to open on Saturday October 18. the attention of sportsmen sports-men of this area Is rapidly shifting shift-ing to the hunting season. Although many anglers will take a few last trips to the lukes and streams during the few remaining days, the hunting fever will probably, prob-ably, really take hold of the population popu-lation early next week, A few red shirts and caps are certain to make their appearance by Monday, and by Friday evening the city will have a very small male population. Thursday will not be quite In any sense of the word because by that time hundreds of out of state ard northern Utah hunters will be here ready to "take to the hills," and will all Join In a grand celebration at the annual deer hunters ball Thursday Thurs-day evening. The ball will be sponsored spon-sored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Posts and will be- held In the Armory. Everyone is invited to attend the dance, whether they are deer hunters hun-ters or not, and a gala time Is expected. |
