Show Juvenile Judge Attends Conference Judge S. R. Bossard, District Juvenile Ju-venile Judge, who handles all Juvenile Ju-venile cases in Iron County, attended attend-ed a conference of State Juvenile Court authorities at the Utah State Industrial School at Ogden, Thursday, Thurs-day, September 25. Placement procedures pro-cedures and problems of classif ica-tlon ica-tlon In dealing with the program of release of young people committed to the Utah State Industrial School were among the topics discussed. The conference was held at the school In an effort to acquaint those present with the school, its facilities facili-ties and program, and. determine uniform procedures in dealing with common problems concerned with the release of these students from the school. Judge Bossard advises that great progress has been made at the school and is still being made. First, Is getting the type of personnel needed at such an Institution and, secondly, to provide facilities in plant and equipment so necessary In successfully carrying on the work of rehabilitating unfortunate children child-ren assigned to the school. The school has many manual arts courses cours-es through which a boy or girl can prepare themselves for an occupation occupa-tion In later life. |
