Show High School Football Team Loses League Encounter To Beaver j The Cedar High School Redmen slid a little farther down the foot-ball foot-ball ladder Friday, when they drop-( drop-( ped their second league game of the ' ieason by a score of 48 to 0. The Redmen handed the game to the Beaver team because of failure to make their plays click and failure to capitalize on opportunities that presented themselves. The local players displayed almost al-most an Indifferent attitude and did not put the drive into their plays that they are capable of doing, do-ing, and as a result let the Beaver team break up any scoring chances that developed, and also helped the Beaver cause by allowing numerous num-erous pass interceptions. It is generally conceded that the Redmen "gave" their opponents six of their touchdowns, and that on an "earned point" basis the score should have been probably 12 or 18 to 0. The defeat was very costly to the Redmen, but they can play better ball and it is expected that tiiey will not be "pushovers" for the remainder of the season. Parowan took the measure of Mil-ford Mil-ford in the other game of the week winning by a score of 24 to 6. Since Beaver trimmed Mllford 55 to 12 in the opening game of the season, they will be favored to win from Parowan when they clash next week, but the Rams will give them a battle. Cedar and Mllford will tangle on the B. A. C. gridiron next week, and both will be fighting fight-ing to keep out of the cellar. |
