Show Hangar To Be Built At Parowan Airport A contract for the construction of a frame hangar at the Parowan Municipal airport, located northeast of that city, has been awarded by the Parowan City council to John Page of that place. The cost of the hangar will be $4700 and work on the building will start at once, it is reported. The above action was taken at a meeting of the Parowan City council coun-cil on Tuesday .venlng with members mem-bers of the chamber of commerce airport committee and Joe Bergin, state director of aeronautics present. pres-ent. Mr. Bergin outlined specifications specifica-tions for the building before the contract was let. The contract does not include provisions for a concrete floor or foundation, it is reported by Parowan Paro-wan city mayor E. Ray Lyman, and It was recommended that this por tion of the project be taken over of the chamber of commerce, with that organization furnishing the labor and materials. Parowan city is furnising $3,000 for the airport hangar with the state furnishing $1500 toward the project. |
