Show Three Day Pheasant Season Opens Nov. 1st The Utah State Board of Game Control issued a proclamation Saturday Sat-urday providing for a three day pheasant and quail hunt, setting November 1, 2, and 3, as the three hunting days, and stipulating that hunting will be permitted only from 7:00 am. to 5:30 p.m. The Cedar Valley Upland Bird Sanctuary, located on the John 8 Woodbury property in Cedar Valley, is specifically designated as closed, in the proclamation. Another area of Interest to local hunters that has been closed is that part of Garfield county draining into the south fork of the Sevier River. The bag limit on Pheasants Is set at three male birds, with a possession posses-sion limit of six. The Quail bag limit Is 10 birds of either sex, with a possession limit of 20 birds. Special provisions for quail hunting hunt-ing in Washington county West ot the rim of Santa Clara Creek and the west rim of the Moody Wash; south of Dixlo National Forest Boundary and north and west of Highway 91, will be open to hunting hunt-ing from November 1st to December 31st. A ten-day season will be allowed al-lowed In the remainder of the county, starting on November 1st and continuing until November 10. |
