Show BAC Broncos Tackle Santa Ana Dons In Homecoming Battle Coach Murray Maughan's Branch Agricultural College football team will meet its toughest foe of the season to date when the Broncos tangle with the great Santa Ana, California, Junior College Dons on ' the B.A.C. gridiron under the lights Friday night. The Dons are rated among the six best Junior College teams of the nation, and will field a big powerful team that in size and numbers at least will compare favorably fav-orably with many senior college aggregations. ag-gregations. The Brpncos, smarting from a humiliating defeat at the hands of Carbon and narrowly escaping defeat de-feat in the traditional B. A. C.Dixie C.-Dixie game, will be definite underdogs under-dogs for this game. However, the fans will remember the brilliant performance of last year's Bronco squad against a similarly highly favored Compton college team, and will be hoping to see the Bronco reach a peak of performance that everyone feels they are capable of. A victory for the Broncos cannot be expected, but the local players are determined to give the visitors a tough battle all the way. The game, to be played as the feature of the annual B. A. C. homecoming, home-coming, will get underway at 8:00 p. m. and a large crowd is expected ex-pected to be on hand for the opening open-ing klckoff. |
