Show Redmen Suffer 50-12 Loss To Hurricane Showing about as much drive and fight as a bunch of fifth grade girls would display the Cedar high school six man team suffered a humiliating defeat by Hurricane Wednesday The Redmen dropped the game by a score of 50 to 12, putting up very iittle competition against the team they had defeated 25 to 24 in the opening game of the season. The game was a practice session. With one or two exceptions the Redmen seemed to have very little Interest in the UTocecdiiigs, and failed to put any drive into their attack at all, and their blocking was listless and ineffective. The visitors were able to make repeated long gains and to score almost at will because be-cause the Redmen tackles were thrown at the hips and shouldrn and failed to stop the Hurricane attack. at-tack. For one short period in the second quarter the Redmen showed some spunk and quickly pushed over two touchdowns, which at the time put them back into the game. However, How-ever, they failed to keep the spark alive. Jerry Goddard, Clinton Hunt, and Joel Webster showed considerable1 determination while they were In the game and played some very nice ball. |
