Show Institute Ceremony Unites Popular Cedar City Couple Married in the Cedar City LDS Institute by Bishop A. E. Vh:t-cott, Vh:t-cott, Saturday, August 14, wore Dorothy Secrist, Cedar City, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. A. t. Buffington, Mt. Pleasant, and Tom Urie, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jim' Urle, Cedar City. The ceremony cere-mony was attended by the parents, par-ents, relatives and intimate friends of both the bride and groom. Iris Spencer served the bride as maid of honor and brides maids were Carol Hasner, Betty Mac-farlane, Mac-farlane, Jane Croft and Francis Beal. Jim Urie was the groom's best man, and ushers were Clark Macfarlane, Garry Smith and Walter Merryweather. The bride is a graduate of the Cedar City high school and attended at-tended the B A C where she was a promihent dancing student and affiliated with the Phi Alpha Beta Be-ta sorority. Mr. Urie is a graduate of the Cedar City high school and re-cently re-cently spent one and one-half years in the U. S. Army. Relatives of the bride from Salt Lake City and Canada attended at-tended the ceremony. Following the reception, the young couple left on a short honeymoon hon-eymoon trip. They will make their home in Cedar City, where Mr. Urle plans to study at the Branch Agricultural college. |
