Show Hurricane Peach . Harvest Begins The hardest of the yearly Hurricane Hur-ricane Peach crop is well umii-r-way according to reports received receiv-ed in Cedar City, with several carloads of Hales, Havens and Jubilees shipped this week. Working in the orchards at present are 150 Indians in Hurricane Hur-ricane and 55 in Leeds. The Washington County Fruit Growers Grow-ers association is now employing employ-ing 18 professional girl packers from Texas, seven local girls and six men in the Hurricane area. This figure will increase as the harvest nears its peak. With the shipping of Lemon Elbertas and Elberta Queen peaches, the heaviest crop, the whole southern part of the state will figure in the fruit movement. |
