Show Final Services Held For Father of Cedar City Woman Funeral services were conducted conduct-ed in St. George Saturday for Charles A. Bastian, 81. father of Mrs. M. D. Arns of Cedar City. Mr. Bastian died at his home in St. George Wednesday, August 11th of causes Incident to age. He was born in Washington county July 7, 18C7, a son of Jacob Ja-cob and Christine Hansen Bastian. Bas-tian. He married Eleanore S. Hartley Hart-ley in the St. George temple in 1894. She died July 4, 1917, and he married Mrs. Josephine Alexander Alex-ander January 19, 1920. Surviving are his widow; seven sons and daughters, Mrs. Verda Sccgmiller, Mrs. Afton Ence, Mrs. Doiothy Graff and Charles A, Bastian Jr., St. George; Orvil Bastian, Marysvale, Montana; Mrs. Villa Arns, Cedar City, and Mrs. Wanda Buckersker, Salt Lake City; three step sons and daughters, Woodruff Alexander, San Francisco, Cal.; Mrs. Belle Amante, Las Vegas, Nev.; Mrs. Ida Lerassc, Denver, Colo.; 16 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and eight brothers. |
