Show Legion Heads Get Hodfor'49 Convention Here James Hoyle, Jr., commander of the Cedar City American Legion Le-gion Tost, John M. Brown and Hal Christensen secured the 1949 Legion Convention for Cedar City, last week at this year's Utah con-1 vention held in Ogden. Mr. Hoyle reports that the local group was very fortunate to persuade state1 delegates of the feasibility of Ce-dar Ce-dar City, since several other cities, especially Vernal, bid for the convention. Present plans caii for the confab con-fab to take place next August. A meeting is planned Monday, August 23, when new Post Officers Of-ficers will be installed, Commander Com-mander Hoyle said. At Monday's gathering, first plans for next year's convention will be made, and first vice commander Ralph Joaes, will report on the 1949 membership drive now under-way. |
