Show Brochures To Push Burr Trail Usage John Williams, executive director of the Five County Association of k Governments brought a slide f presentation to the county com-( com-( , missioners to be used in brochures for the Burr Trail. Williams was given permission from the commission com-mission to have 20,000 brochures Printed at a cost of $3,993.89. Williams also discussed Community Development Block Grants. The commission rated the town of Antimony An-timony as a high priority area and scheduled a later meeting with Antimony officials to discuss some their problems. Commission Chairman Tom Hatch executed the Pit Lease Agreement with Gary Haws of Boulder and has signed on behalf of the Garfield County Commissioners. Darren Anderson, AIM Benefits, f and Brent Koch, Jalic Flexplus, Presented a program to the commissioners com-missioners for AIM Benefits Insurance In-surance and a flexible plan allowing county employees to choose different dif-ferent benefit coverages. A check in the amount of $40,710.30 was received by the county for the amount in excess of funds required to be on deposit with the trustee re Garfield Water and Sewer Revenue Bonds Reserve Fund for Garfield County Ticaboo Special Service District Number One. This check will be returned to Plateau Resources. Mamie Hatch, president of the American Legion Auxiliary asked the commission for and was given a check from the county in the amount of $50 as a donation to Girls State. The commission adjourned and reconvened and then met with the Antimony Town Council. The Antimony Town Council has several concerns that they asked the commission to consider. The council is concerned about law enforcement in Antimony. They need information on liability insurance. The town wants to join the Utah Local Governments Insurance Trust Risk Pool. The Antimony council wants to purchase gravel from the county for the towns water system. They want help from the county in graveling and grading the Johns Valley Road. |
