"' ' '- , v. v. t i c : - ' ' " : f . t . ; - ' 1 The Bryce Valley High School Drill Team, Brycettes back home after placing fourth in state following three years in state competition show Brycette Have Successful Meet At State TROPIC The 18 members of the Bryce Valley High School Drill Team, the Brycettes, had the most successful state meet yet, in the three years they have competed at state. The Brycettes placed fifth in the dance division, third in the prop and second in the novelty division, placing fourth overall in state competition. The winning novelty routine, an original "Ostrich Race" was performed per-formed to the music "Yackety Sax" also took first place honors at region competition on March 14 at Beaver. At state, the same routine took second place by five points. v Advisor April LeFevre said, "I'm proud of 'my' drill team. It's not the two trophies or the state plaque that matters most, its the improvement and growth I see in each girl. And to me they are 'number one.' their prize winning Ostrich costumes. Advisor April LeFevre says, "th, girls are doing so well they are 'number one' with me." |
