Show Panguitch Students Win At UP&L Fair Panguitch High School boasted three third place winners in the j March 16, Utah Power and Light i Company's Telluride Region Science Fair at Richfield. Bart Reynolds, advisor, said that there were 26 finalists and Panguitch High School placed three students in the event. Howard Simkins, Josh Brown, and ; Kim Tebbs built a working model of I a hydro-electric plant. They also I explained and showed how an actual plant constructed on the same basis would be a feasible project at Panguitch Lake. The youths were judged on workmanship, work-manship, practicality, oral presentation, and feasibility. With 360 entrants the trio finished third in the fair. Each of the winning entrants received a $25 check, a certificate and a plaque. Three other teams, Alisha Hatch and Amy Foy on hydro-electric power, Stephanie Black and Heather Linford on nuclear power, and Cherish Tebbs and Kim Davenport, on geo-thermal power also made presentations. |
