Show Bryce Lions Plan For Celebration TROPIC Preliminary plans were discussed for celebrating the upcoming 25th anniversary of the Bryce Lions at the club's most recent meeting. With 15 members present, the group discussed increasing membership. mem-bership. ' Wilmer Barnett, St. George, former district governor, spoke to the group about seeking younger membership and how to achieve dynamic teamwork. Arnold Adair will chair the 25th anniversary celebration and the group will ask both the Panguitch and Kanab Lions Clubs to participate. par-ticipate. Both groups sponsored the Bryce Club when it was formed. The Bryce Lions have recently sponsored training for two Emergency Medical Technicians, Kay Mar Willis of Tropic and Edward Ed-ward Bogar of Henrieville, at $90 each. They also contributed $200 for the Brycettes to help with costs of props for regional and state competition. The club has contributed $500 toward tables and chairs for the multi-purpose room at the new Tropic fire station. The room will be used by senior citizens, sheriffs posse and Lions Club as well as other civic groups. The building also has a full kitchen, with refrigerator, range, ice maker, garbage disposal and other special features. It will be dedicated in late May. Currently serving as president of the Bryce Lions is LaMar LeFevre. |
