Show Two Charged By Officers With Forgery Garfield County Sheriff Robert Judd reported the arrest in Ticaboo of two felony suspects by county deputy sheriff Maxwell Jackson March 17. The two suspects, Richard Anthony Green, 20, and Karri Darlene Wisdom, 19, both Bullfrog, are being held in the county jail on $10,000 bail each. Judd stated that the suspects who will be arraigned on 11 felony counts for Green and 10 counts for Wisdom are thought to be originally from Colorado. Preliminary hearing is set for March 26, and Jim Shumate, Cedar City, who is a contract public defender for Garfield County, will represent the pair. They are being charged with the theft and forgery of five checks from Colorado, each check counting for two charges, one for the theft and the other for forgery. Green is charged with an additional ad-ditional count of destroying jail property. Judd pointed out that when a person is arrested he is under the jurisdiction of the local jail. Any property belonging to that jurisdiction is the property of the jail. Green, after being placed in the sheriff's vehicle, allegedly kicked and destroyed the police radio. The technical term for possessing a forged check, said Judd, is, "being in possession of forged documents." |
