Show W.C. Bill-Green Bill-Green BOUNTIFUL William "Bill" Charles Green, age 92 passed away Feb. 19, 1991 at Care West in Bountiful, Boun-tiful, of causes incident to age. He was bom in Pontypool, Monmouthshire, Mon-mouthshire, Wales Ocl 20, 1892. The son of Theophilus James and Annie Amanda Scrivens Green. He immigrated im-migrated to the United States at , the age of one year, and grew up in Almo, Cassia County, Idaho, where he worked on many ranches in the area He moved to Salt Lake City in 1921 and married Mary Olga Layton in the Salt Lake LDS Temple Oct. 3 1 , 1923. She passed away June 30, 1971. He married Irma Dale in 1972 and was later divorced. He was a high priest in the LDS Church, a home teacher, worked on ward building committees, and in his early years worked with the Boy Scout program. He loved to go camping, camp-ing, fishing and hunting and traveled extensively with his wife and family. He worked as a cement contractor for Wasatch Oil Company and as a loading dock worker for Phillips Petroleum Pet-roleum C. in Woods Cross. He retired Nov. 1,1963 from Phillips. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his first wife, two sisters and seven brothers. He is survived by: two sons and two daughters; Maxine (Tommy) McMallum, Layton; Theo J. (Jean) Green, Bountiful; Milton C. (Joyce) Green, Centerville; Patricia (LeGrande) Backley, Woods Cross; one brother, Weldon G (Florence) Green, B urley , Idaho ; 1 8 grandchildren; grand-children; 5 1 great-grandchildren; five step-grandchildren and two step great-great -grandchildren. Funeral services were held Feb. 22, at the Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary. Interment in the Kaysville City Cemetery. |
