Show Seedlinas offered for olantina Lone Peak State Forest Nursery has tree and shrub seedlings available for spring conservation plantings. For those who manage livestock, produce crops, or invite wildlife to their property, plants available from the nursery can be beneficial as windbreak protection and wildlife habitat. Property owners and managers interested in-terested in riparian habitat, reforestation, Christmas tree plantations, or soil reclamation will find the seedlings useful and cost effective. In addition, Utah's air quality and environment are enhanced by conservation plantings. plan-tings. The Utah Division of State Lands and Forestry pro vides low-cost seedlings to encourage conservation plantings. Tree and shrub seedlings cost between $30 and $65 per 100 plants. Seedlings may not be used for landscape purposes. Upon request, state foresters will provide technical help with species selections, site preparation and plant care. Seedling order forms are available from Division of State Lands and Forestry offices in Salt Lake City, Logan, Moab, Cedar City, Vernal and Richfield or from Lone Peak State Forest Nursery (801) 571-0900. |
