Show MPJH has Spirit Week By LANAE ADAMS Student Reporter Mueller Park JHS The week of Feb. 4-8 was "Spirit Week" at Mueller Park Junior High. Each day of the week was filled with special activities. Monday was "Beach Day" with everyone wearing beach clothes. Tuesday Tues-day was "Mixed and Matched Day." Everyone's clothes were mixed and sometimes mis-matched and even the class schedules were mixed up. "Hippie Day" was Wednesday, and there were really some great looking hippies walking around the school. There were people with bellbottoms and vests, sandals and great jewelry. There were also calls made at random to some students on Tuesday and Wednesday, and if they answered the phone with the words, "Panthers are great," they got a prize. Wednesday was our Spirit Assembly and the officers did a skit with Amy Ashton as the Little Mermaid, Erin Manwill as the Sea Witch and Rachel Bastien as Sebastian. Others were "students" or eels. It was really fun and entertaining. The cheerleaders and also some of the ninth grade boys did dances. It was a great assembly. Thursday was the Valentines Dance and everyone dressed in red and white. Friday was "Sweats and Slippers Day" which ended a fun week. We want to give special "thanks" to the officers and leaders who helped plan such a "fun-filled" week. |
