Braves plan Senior Prom top honors at the recent State Jazz Festival. The band took second place in state 3A competition, missing miss-ing first place by only three points out of 300. The band also received honors as Most Outstanding Rhythm Section overall and Most By CHRISTINE ROTH Well, this is it The final term of the school year and if you can just hang on, we'll be out in that sun before too long. There are great activities ac-tivities planned for this last term, not the least of which is Sr. Prom, planned for the quickly approaching May 5 at Little America. Carrying on the tradition started last year, it will be a dinner and dance. Our outstanding Jazz Band took 'Brave Rave V J Bryan Boh ling, attorneys, and Darrin Thiriot, witness and Andrea Van Otten, bailiff. Congratulations to the 1991 student stu-dent body officers and to all the candidates who ran dignified and original campaigns. There is a meeting today for anyone interested in running for junior class or senior class officer. Posters go up on April 17. Good luck to everyone running! In the way of sports, our track team will be running at Granite today to-day at 3 and our baseball team will be playing at Judge at 3:30 and will be playing Tooele on our own field April 17 at 3:30. The track team will also be competing April 18 at Murray at 3 p.m. Go Braves! The BHS choir tour of California starts April 19 and continues through the 24. Good luck to the show choirs and A'cappella who will be entering competition and good luck to Mr. Davis, who will perform his master concert. Parent teacher conferences are April 11-12, and school will be dismissed two hours early. Spring break begins April 13 and lasts until the 16, so enjoy your time off and make the most of your vacation. Happy Easter! Outstanding Trombone Section overall. Our concert band will be in region competition April 18, and this is a great opportunity to hear our very talented band. Carrying on the winning streak is our Mock Trial team who beat Highland at their first trial. The judges recognized Richard Blake as outstanding attorney and Sean Thompson as outstanding witness with an honorable mention to Christine Roth. Other members of the team include: Glenn Rose and |
