Show Local woman's mother dies Funeral services were held at the Spanish Fork Stake House Tuesday for Mabel Sorenson Lasson, 77, mother of Mrs. DelMoine Christens e n. Mrs. Lasson died August 15, 1969, at her home in Birdseye after a 'prolonged illness. Burial was in the Springville Evergreen Cemetery. She was born August 17, 1891 at Mt. Pleasant, a daughter daugh-ter of Soren Peter and Agnes Jensen Sorensen. She married Andrew Adolphus Lasson, May !,, 22, 1913 at Salt Lake City. I j.Their marriage was solemnized 'February 25, 1914 in the Manti V!LDS Temple. He died March me, 1964. J She received her elementary J education in Mt. Pleasant, graduating from the Wasatch K,',,Academy. After attending the liiBrigham Young University and ""receiving her teaching certlfi-( certlfi-( cate in 1912, she taught the (four lower grades for one year i.at Indianola before her mar-triage. mar-triage. jk An active member of the LDS Church all her life, she participated in the Sunday 'School and Primary in Indianola Indian-ola and served as Relief Society Soci-ety president. She also served tor many years as Sunday ,5chool secretary and teacher, "ind Relief Society secretary, :eacher and visiting teacher. II Survivors include daughters, Mrs. Floyd (Maurine) Larson, Irand Junction, Colo., Mrs. Sel Moine (Dorothy) Christen-Jfien, Christen-Jfien, Springville, and Mrs. Howard How-ard (Nellie) Barney of Birds-I Birds-I ;ye. One daughter, Helen L. Vnderson, recently preceded -ler in death. Other survivors included sis-ers, sis-ers, Mrs. Sterling Nelson, Mrs. nSdna Giby, Mrs. Evelyn Peter-en Peter-en all of Salt Lake City and trs. Florence Halladay, Provo; 7 grandchildren and eight Teat grandchildren.
