Dr. Curtis Van Alfen, assistant assis-tant dean, College of Education, Brigham Young University, will be the guest speaker. His topic will be "Cooperative Needs of Communities and Schools for the Future." Dr. Van Alfen has attended Weber State College, Utah State University, and received his doctorate from the University Univer-sity of Utah in 1967. He majored ma-jored in educational psychology and minored in educational administration. ad-ministration. He has had extensive experience exper-ience in teaching, counseling, and as administrator at Weber High, Weber College, Valley Elementary-Junior High; assistant assis-tant and superintendent of the Tooele County School District. Dr. Van Alfen has served as consultant, Tooele County School District, USEA Title III Project; Five District Program-Continuous Progress Education Ed-ucation Curriculum Development Develop-ment Program and Pendelton, Oregon School District representing repre-senting Educational Services Department, Science Research Associates. He has also served as president, presi-dent, Utah Personnel and Guidance Association; research chairman, Utah Personnel and Guidance Association; consultant, consul-tant, Granite and Davis Districts Dis-tricts American Values Propect, and ESEA Title I Projects.
