Show Federated clubs attain 100 entry in event State federation of women's clubs of Utah totaling 86 achieved 100 per cent entry in the 1969 Community Improvement Improve-ment Program sponsored by the General Federation of Women's Clubs and Sears: Mrs. Wendell Winger, president, reported. The clubs generally worked in cooperation with other community com-munity and civic organizations in their plans and projects to improve their respective communities. com-munities. Mrs. Lee Diamonti of Helper is state chairman for CIP. Utah was one of 11 states to achieve this level of participation partici-pation Mrs. Winger stated. A single honor came to Utah which was the only state to have 100 per cent participation in the get-out-the-vote campaign cam-paign under the direction of Mrs. C. E. Hyatt, citizenship chairman. Utah Federated Clubs are planning a continuation of the project for the coming year with assistance being directed to the Youth Center at the Utah State Hospital in Provo. A check for a $100 was recently recent-ly presented to the center and also one for $300 given by the Campanions Club of Springville Spring-ville which they won in competition. |
