County commissioners invite public to queen pageant j The Utah County Commissioners Commis-sioners have announced the Queen's Contest for the Utah County Queen's Pageant of the individual cities to be held Friday, Fri-day, August 29, 1969 at the Spanish Fork High School at 8:00 p.m. During the evening, in addition addi-tion to the talent of the beautiful beauti-ful queens of each city, musical numbers from "Flower Drum Song," "My Fair Lady" and "The Sound of Music" will be presented. The general public is invited to attend this delightful delight-ful affair, hosted by Commis sioners Verl D. Stone of Spanish Span-ish Fork, Paul Thorn of Orem, and Stanley D. Roberts, American Amer-ican Fork. The winner of the Miss Utah County Contest will compete in the Miss Utah State Fair Contest. Con-test. The contestant chosen Miss Utah State Fair will compete com-pete in the Miss Utah Contest and then for "Miss America." A gift will be presented to each queen with a dozen red roses to the winner. The new Miss Utah County will also be presented with a gift certificate for the purchasing of a formal gown that she may use in the "Miss Utah State Fair Contest." Con-test." Each contestant will be judged judg-ed on intelligence, beauty, culture, cul-ture, personality, poise and talent. tal-ent.
