Show Springville lady golfers ready state ladies' tournament here ! f Springville Women's Golf Association As-sociation will hold their next ladies day luncheon September 9, instead of September 2, as scheduled earlier announces Mary Allman, president. The local ladies association has been busy making plans for the first ladies state golf tournament tourn-ament to be held September 4 at the Hobble Creek Golf Course. Amy Klauck, state representative, rep-resentative, is in charge and is being assisted by Mary Allman, Beth Shoell, Laurel Braun and Eunice Ewing. Congratulations goes out to Carol Klauck in winning the low net tournament at Alpine Country Club. Wednesday, August 20, several sev-eral ladies traveled to Spanish Fork where they played in a Best Ball Tournament. The next team play will be Friday at Hobble Creek against the Mountain Dell lady golfers. Month's winners Ladies day winners for August Au-gust 5 are Mary Norman, Amy Klauck, Connie Orr, Lois Mc-C Mc-C o a r d, Aldeen Palfreyman, Marilyn Crandall, Bonnie Snel-son Snel-son and Ruth Miller. Winners for August 12 play include Mary Allman, Naomi Thorn, Norma Martinez, Pat Roper, Gertie Ruff, Eunice Ewing, Norma Mock. Each of the winners received gift certificates cer-tificates from the pro shop. Carol Klauck, Springville Women's Golf Association golfer won the fourth Annual An-nual UGA low net invitational invita-tional tournament held last Friday at the Alpine Country Club in American Fork. In winning the meet she came up with a 66 low net and grossed 101. She represented the Hobble Creek Golf Links. |
