Show Water project discussed at club The Home Culture Club met Friday at the home of Mrs. Alma Miner. Sixteen members and two guests enjoyed a delightful de-lightful and informative afternoon. after-noon. The speaker was Lynn Ludlow who discussed the "Central Utah Water Project." He displayed maps of the water wa-ter projects and stated that Utah was second most arrid state in the union, Colorado being first. He went on to say that the future of the state depends on the water resources obtained and at this time although al-though the Colorado River brings more water into the state it also takes more out. He listed reasons why the high Uintah Mountains are our greatest source of water with Strawberry being the heart of it. Mrs. Vera Watts read the club collect and Mrs. Art Tucker Tuck-er sang four numbers and accompanied ac-companied herself on the auto-card. auto-card. The program was followed follow-ed by a luncheon served by the hostesses. |
