Show SUSC enrollment over 2,000 mark or other nations. Nevada leads in the number of nonresident students from other states with 135. Following in order are California (45) and Arizona (29). Twenty-seven students from other nations are attending at-tending SUSC. Iran lists 13 students, and four students from the Marshall Islands attend. Other nations with more than one student attending at-tending are Canada, Japan, and Lebanon. The six Utah counties contributing the most students to the student body are Iron (714), Salt Lake (186), Washington (99), Utah "(98), Sevier (81), and Garfield (76). Students 25 years old and older increased 17 percent over last year, and students 30 years old and older increased in-creased by 30 percent. Twelve percent of the student body is over 30 years old this quarter, and 24 percent are 25 years old or older. u X.. Eight hundered ninety six women and 987 men are enrolled this quarter. .. .. v A record number of students are attending Southern Utah State College this quarter, according to the latest enrollment report issued by Ward S. Robb, registrar. A total of 1,883 students are taking classes for credit winter quarter. Counting students who are taking classes, but are not registered to receive credit, the total "headcount" is 1,998 as of the report cutoff date. "We have had a few ; students added to the list 1 ' Since the cutoff, and that pushes the total to over 2,000 students," Robb explains "We've never done that before during a winter quarter." ;The official total of 1,883 students is the largest winter quarter enrollment in the school's; history. It represents an 11 percent increase over last year's winter quarter enrollment. It is also a drop of only 83 students from the record fall qiiarter enrollment of 1966-; students" "It is normal for enrollment to decrease slightly s: each quarter of the regular academic year," Robb says. "FTE" (full time equivalent) enrollment is also up 11 percent compared to last winter. FTE enrollment is determined by dividing the total number of ' credits taken by all students by 15 (the number of credit hours considered 'full time'). This year's FTE enrollment for winter quarter is 1,800. Of the 1,883 students enrolled this quarter at SUSC, 1,592 are classified as residents of Utah.
