Show t f. , off the fStelrt- I ' in. ELEVEN BRIGHT YELLOW CRATES AVERAGING 9' BY 3' BY2Vi' arrived at the Braithwaite Fine Arts Gallery on the Southern Utah State College campus last week. The crates contained 41 display units which will exhibit 76 objects for the "Designs of the Ndeble" exhibition which opens at 7 p.m. this evening. The exhibition of African beadwork has been organized by the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C. and is traveling throughout the country on a two year tour. Cedar City is the show's second stop-it was initially shown in Shreveport, Louisiana. The show will also feature a slide-tape presentation presen-tation which gives a brief background on the Ndebele people and their culture. "We weren't expecting such big crates," said Director Thomas Leek. Pictured above are Mary Ann Gutierrez (left), Assistant Curator, and Director Thomas Leek (right). All have received a year's subscription or extension of their subscription sub-scription to The Iron County Record for appearing in our weekly photographic feature, "Off the Record."
