Show Kunz heads Youth Council 1 i A new member of the Cedar City Youth Council was elected the group's chairman at their January meeting. . - Lewis H.Kunz will replace Alene Chamberlain who has served as chairman for several years but will continue to work on the council. "Our goal is to coordinate youth activities and functions. We are also an advocate for youth," said Kunz. A Cedar City native, Kunz recently returned to the area after completing his Masters of Social Work degree at the University of Utah. He also holds a B.A. degree in sociology from Southern Utah State College and is currently working for the state's Department of Social Services in their Youth Services Division. "Cedar City doesn't have more problems with youth than other places. We need more recreation and more organized recreation for youth," said Kunz. "As society becomes more complex l ewis H. Knn7 and more difficult, we see more problems in youth," said the sociologist. |
