Show - - m,m Ella B. Leigh, 100T Active Church and Community Worker dies; Services held Art' Club. Also she was a member of the American Association University Wo mens (AAUW) Club. She served as President and later Historian of the Round Table Club in Cedar City, and was a charter member of the Cedar City Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was also a charter member and first secretary of the Fifty year Club for BNS now SUSC. Member of VFW Auxilliary. Her superb sence of humor made her a very devoted wife, mother and friend. She was preceded in death by her husband who died March 7, 1958, and three daughters; Roberta Pryor, Ruby Pedersen, and Wilma Tucker. Survivors are: two sons, Harry B., William S. "Dub" both of Cedar City, Utah. Five daughters; Mrs. Ferris (Maurine) Clegg, Heber City; Mrs. Harold (Lavera) Anderson, Livermore, Calif.; Mrs. Vance (Doris) Johnson, Colorado Springs, Colo.; Mrs. Harry (Ravenna) Baker, Champaign, Cham-paign, 111., Mrs. Willard (Mary Carol) Sturdevant, Norman, Okla.; 16 grandchildren, grand-children, 19 great grandchildren grand-children and one great great grandchild. Funeral services was held Saturday February 2, 1980 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cedar City 2nd LDS Ward Chapel. Interment In-terment was in the Cedar City Cemetery. I - - Vi? ."A FLLAB. LEIGH Martha Eleanor Berry Leigh, age 100 years 7 months, died January 29, 1980 at h er home in Cedar City of causes incident to age. Born June 13, 1879 in Kanarraville to William Shanks and Rebecca Beck Berry. Attended school in Kanarraville and Cedar City. Was the first graduate from the BNS in 1900. Graduated from University of Utah in 1901. Taught school in Cedar City two years. Married William Henry Leigh in the St. George Temple April 27, 1903. Raised 10 children and a granddaughter to adulthood. She was an active member of the Cedar City LDS 2nd Ward. Served in Relief Society Presidency 8 years. While attending BNS now SUSC, she was a member of the Home Economics Club, and a charter member of the |
