Show Power Issue up to Voters Residents of Cedar City who wish to east their ballot in the public opinion vote scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 12 from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. must register to vote or sign an altadavit of residency at the Cedar City offices by Friday, Feb.8. Those who voted in the last city elections will automatically be on the voting lists. To be eligible to vote in the poll, a person must have resided in the city for the past fill days and be 18 years of age or older. The vote will be used to determine whether a area residents favor a municipally owned and operated electrical system or favor a system owned and operated by Utah Power and Light. While the vote is not legally binding, city council members have indicated that they will follow the mandate of the people. Voters from Districts 1,9,10,11, 12,13,14and 17 willvoteat the city office in the area across from the Circuit Court. Voters from Districts 2,3.4,5,6,7,8,15 and 16 will vote at the South Elementary School. |
