Yvonne is valedictorian for the e.radualint,' class. Mr. and Mrs. A. P. Slack left Saturday for Salt Luke Oily where Mrs. Slack will receive medical treatment. Wednesday evening Mesdames Harvey Theobald, 1 1. A. Jackson and Marvin Jones entertained at a friendship shower for Mrs. Clarence Theobald at the Jones home. Martin Anderson spent the week end in Boulder, Nevada. Mrs. Kllis Smith was taken to the St. George hospital Friday. Andrew Olds is home for a few days visiting with his family. Mrs. Jennie Lamb and daughter, daugh-ter, lilanche left Sunday for Ogden where Blanche will attend school for the next month. Mrs. A. P. Spillsbury of Cedar City is visiting here. On Tuesday afternoon Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Fish entertained for their son and his wife, Pvt. and Mrs. Lewis Fish at the swimming pool in St. George. Pvt. Fish left Saturday to report at Camp Meade, Md. for an overseas assignment. as-signment. Word has been received by Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Olds that their son, Cpl. Merrill Olds is on his way home on a rotation furlough. He went over with the National Guard to the Pacific area and has been in many major battles including Okinawa. |
