Show Memorial Services Honor Pfc. Jack Leavitt At Bunkerville, June 3 BUNKERVILLE, Nev. Memorial services were held in honor of Jack Leavitt on Sunday, June 3 under the direction of Bishop Austin Hunt. Speakers were Herman Her-man Larkin, Ralph Huntsman and Lorin Leavitt. Mr. Leavitt read some poems written by Jack before be-fore his death. Singing was by the women's chorus, "I Know That My Redeemer Re-deemer Lives" and "Sometime We'll Understand." Special numbers num-bers were by Mrs. Edith Potter and Mrs. Grace Leavitt, "The World is Waiting for the Sun-ries" Sun-ries" and by Leland Lamoreaux, "Going Home." Prayers were by President Edwin Wells and Roy Whipple. At the cemetery the American Legion was in charge of the ceremony. cere-mony. Members of the Legion who participated were Bishop Orval Abbott, Harley Adams, Heber Leavitt, Howard Pulsipher, Amasa Lee, Mr. Hicks and others. The little white cross and a wreath were placed near the one honoring Arlo Leavitt, the first local serviceman killed in World War II. Wreaths were also placed on the graves of Dudley Hardy and Emil Ence, veterans of World War I. |
