Show Dead Sea Takes on Life There's plenty of life in the J Dead sea, and today its banks are Q hives of activity, with British ' chemists, engineers, and laborers working to win from them valuable valua-ble chemicals which were formerly former-ly obtained mostly from Germany, Russia and Poland. Products from the banks of the famous lake, which lies 1,286 feet below sea level, are potash, magnesium, mag-nesium, caustic soda, bromine, j snd aluminum, all vital factors for ' the smooth running of a war machine. |
