Show Toquerville Mrs. Rowena Slack Reporter Last week Mrs. Myrtle Bowers, Mrs. Ida Holman, and Mrs. Lewella Maxwell of Cedar City were visitors here at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel C. Dodge. Mrs. Eva Beatty returned Sunday Sun-day from Los Angeles where she had visited her children for the past month. Mr. and Mrs. Scott Bringhurst of Salt Lake City, and Mrs. Carrie Car-rie Chatterly of Kanab spent Thursday at the home of their mother, Mrs. Laura Bringhurst. Mr. and Mrs. George Worthen of St. George and Mr. and Mrs. George Worthen and son of Provo spent Thursday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Slack. Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Thurber and family of Provo spent Thursday Thurs-day here visiting relatives and friends. Lawrence Kleinman of Ely, Nev., is visiting his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Kleinman. The 4-H club has been organized with Mrs. Helen JDenton as leader. They are to study first year cooking. cook-ing. The following officers were elected: President, Betty Slack; Vice-President, Geraldine Bringhurst; Bring-hurst; Secretary and Treasurer, Ruth Bringhurst; Cheer Leader, Dola Bringhurst; Song Leader, La-Rae La-Rae Bringhurst; Reporter, Verlin Wallace. Other members are Kathleen Kath-leen Beatty, Berdeen Batty and Joy Olds. Hilma Whitaker left Tuesday for the cafeteria at Zion National Park, where she has employment. |
