Show Formal Dedication Of West Ward Relief Hall Held June 4th Formal dedication of the west ward relief society hall took place at 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon, reports re-ports Mrs. Vivien W. Woodbury, secretary and was attended by more than 60 persons including members of the stake presidency, stake relief society officers, west ward bishopric, regular relief society members and others. Mina H. Taylor, ward relief society president took charge. Included on the program were congregational singing of "Come We That Love The Lord"; invocation, in-vocation, bishop's counselor, Grant Whitehead; singing, "Have I Done Any Good in The World Today"; address, Bp. James Andrus; selection, selec-tion, ward relief society chorus; dedicatory prayer, Vernon Worthen, former ward bishop and (Continued on page eight) Formal Dedication (Continued from first page) now a member of the stake presidency; presi-dency; remarks by Mrs. Rulon A. James Andrus complimented the women on their perservance in providing the hall and equip-ing equip-ing it and thanked them for their support in ward work, noting the many times relief society women give assistance. Counselor Vernon Worthen preceded pre-ceded the dedicatory prayer with a few well chosen remarks regarding regard-ing the power of cooperation, the value and importance of relief society work, and expressed appreciation ap-preciation for this accomplishment. accomplish-ment. Mrs. Woodbury reported the recent bazaar was a financial success providing the necessary money for finishing payments on their building and a little over. The quilts drawn went to Mrs. Harry Gentry and the other two to Mrs. Hyrum Leany Sr.. |
