Show W. B. Mathis To Attend Meet In Oakland W. B. Mathis, director of the Utah Livestock Production Credit association, leaves the first of next week for Oakland, Calif, to attend the annual regional meetings meet-ings of the statewide production credit associations of Utah, California, Cali-fornia, Arizona and Nevada. Other directors of this farmers' cooperative co-operative who will attend the conference are Ephriam Bergeson, president, of Cornish; S. M. Jor-gensen, Jor-gensen, vice-president, Salina; D. H. Adams, Layton; and M. A. Smith, Salt Lake City. Arthur Smith, secretary-treasurer of the organization, will also attend the meetings scheduled for August 3, 4 and 5. Richard W. Young, a former resident of Utah, who is now General Counsel of the Farm Credit administration, will speak on the legal aspects of production credit loans, while Richard L. Adams, professor of farm management manage-ment and agricultural economist of the University of California, also a director of the Farm Credit administration, will talk on the timely subject: "The Factors Now Controlling Farm Income". Samuel P. Applewaite Jr., vice-president vice-president of the Production Credit corporation of Berkeley, will preside pre-side at the meetings. Mr. Mathis will meet his wife in Salt Lake City, where she has been for the past week, and they will go from there to Oakland for the annual meeting. |
