In some areas, Federal authorities are spraying wide areas to get rid of the sagebrush. Yet, the Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality is requesting a $150,000 from a coal firm to restore the sagebrush on a tract of surface-mined land. The state agency has ordered that sagebursh seed must be included in the reseeding of the surface-mined area.
