Show Juveniles arrested for burglaries Vernal City Police and Uintah County Sheriff's Office made several juvenile arrests last week in connection with numerous burglaries and thefts in the city and county. Last Saturday and Monday, three juveniles were arrested in connection with burglaries at Merkley Motors, the Coca Cola Bottling Plant, Superior Meat, and the Max Rasmussen residence plus several other auto burglaries within the last two months, said Mel Curtis, Vernal City Police. Two more juveniles are also being questioned in connection with the case, said Robert T. Downard, Vernal City Police chief. In an unrelated case, Vernal traffic officers Chris Symes and Clay Hamann apprehended two male 17-year olds while committing an auto burglary at 250 East 100 South last Monday. June 1. Investigation is continuing into the case with Wyoming authorities. This is the second auto burglary apprehended ap-prehended in progress by Vernal Police while implementing preventative patroling.
